The directors of Maritime Skills Centre come from diverse backgrounds, but over the recent years have all become involved in training in one form or another. The common thread in diverging opinions in the training industry was that the general perception of both the training providers and trainers and assessors were either blind or choose to ignore the feedback given.

Maritime Skills Centre response to this situation was to make the decision to engage in training where industry clearly flagged the training to occur, in or adjacent to the workplace, with an approachable, knowledgeable and through training and assessment team.
